Rotary Districts 7450 & 7430
Rotary Foundation Seminar & Peace Forum
Building Safer Communities:
Communities & Law Enforcement Working Together
31 October 2015
at Montgomery County Community College, Blue Bell
This year the Annual Foundation Seminar will be looking different. We have planned an exciting and informative day for our Rotarians. We start off with updates on the impact of our Foundation programs, presentations on a Global Grant and a District Grant, an extended look at the six areas of focus, how Rotarian contributions flow through the Foundation to people in need, a look at the newer programs and recognition for giving.
Then we switch into a new aspect for our Seminar, as we participate in a Forum on Community and Law Enforcement Relations. Based on the World Peace and Conflict Resolution area of focus and the recent conflicts in some US cities, we will experience a panel discussion involving community leaders and law enforcement representatives. This session will be open to the public, who must register in order to be seated. The audience will have opportunities to ask questions of the panelists.
The Forum will be followed by lunch, with Police Commission Ramsey, of Philadelphia as the keynote speaker.
After lunch, there will be an opportunity for Rotarians who need to renew their grant training certification or any Club members that wish to gain their grant training certification, so their respective Clubs can qualify for applying for District or Global Grant Funds from our District or the Rotary Foundation.
This will all take place at The Montgomery County Community College Campus, at DeKalb Pike (RT 202) and Morris Road in Blue Bell. Doors open at 7:30am, registration includes a continental breakfast, a boxed lunch and the full day program, all for $30. Due to seating and the need for ordering individual lunches, admittance will be for prepaid Rotarians only. (No Refunds)
Rotarians that plan to attend the Grants Training Seminar after lunch from 2.15 – 4.30 pm must indicate so on the mail-in registration form (must reach us by registration closing date of October 28th) which is available to download on the top left of this page.
(Please note that space is limited plus with the exciting format we highly recommend that you register early to avoid disappointment ! )
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you on the 31st…..
